Diarra Oden has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week. This is the first Centennial Player of the Week honor for the Blue Jays this season and the third honor of Oden's career.
In a busy week for the Jays, Oden averaged 21.0 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and 1.7 steals per game to lead Hopkins to a 3-0 record. Oden scored at least 16 points in all three wins, including a season-high 25 in a road win at Franklin & Marshall. Oden had 22 points and five rebounds in an 11-point victory over Swarthmore to kick off the week. Most recently, Oden scored 16 points in just 20 minutes in a 45-point win over Muhlenberg on Saturday.
The second leading scorer in the Centennial, Oden recently crossed the 900-point threshold for her Blue Jay career.
Johns Hopkins (13-2, 9-1) hosts Washington College in a crucial matchup tonight inside Goldfarb Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 7 pm.
