CARLISLE, PA – Visiting Johns Hopkins scored touchdowns on its first four possessions of the second half to turn a 13-7 deficit into a 35-13 victory at Dickinson Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Blue Jays' record to 8-1 overall and 7-1 in the Centennial Conference, while the Red Devils slip to 3-6 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial

After the Red Devil defense kept Johns Hopkins in check in the first half, the Blue Jays took their opening possession of the second half and went 68 yards before
Ryan Stevens capped the drive with an eight-yard touchdown pass to
Josh Polce. A five-yard run on fourth-and-one at their own 41 kept the drive alive early on for the Blue Jays.

While the Blue Jay defense was busy holding the Red Devil offense in check with three straight punts and a pair of stops on downs on their first five possessions of the second half, the Johns Hopkins offense added three more touchdowns to salt the game away. The drives all covered at least 56 yards and were polished off with a 12-yard
Spencer Uggla touchdown run (21-13), a 34-yard Stevens-to-
Quinn Revere touchdown pass (28-13) and a one-yard Stevens-to-
Andrew Sheahan scoring toss (35-13).

The Red Devils had grabbed a 10-0 first-quarter lead as they scored 10 points in a span of just over two minutes late in the period. After the first three drives of the game ended with punts, the Devils took over at their own 46 and went 54 yards in eight plays with a 20-yard Diante Ball touchdown run capping the drive.

Dickinson popped the ensuing kickoff between a pair of Blue Jays inside the 30 and the Red Devils recovered at the JHU 24. Four plays later, a 34-yard Matt Moroz field goal made it 10-0.

Johns Hopkins answered with its only scoring drive of the first half as the Blue Jays went 68 yards in six plays to pull within 10-7. A
Geoff Schroeder 10-yard run converted a third-and-one at the Blue Jay 41 and
Danny Wolf scampered up the middle from 29 yards out three plays later make it a three-point game with 82 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Moroz added a 32-yard field goal midway through the second quarter to account for a 13-7 halftime lead for the Devils.
