Emily Howie has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week. This is the second consecutive Player of the Week honor for the Blue Jays this season and the first of Howie's career.
Howie was instrumental in another undefeated week for Johns Hopkins. The junior point guard nearly averaged a double-double for the week, scoring 15.5 points per game and grabbing nine rebounds per contest for the week. Howie also contributed 4.5 assists per game and 1.5 steals per contest. Howie opened up the week with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes in a 23-point win over Washington College. Howie was 6-10 from the field, knocking down a season-high four threes in the win. On Saturday, Howie scored 10 third quarter points in an eight-point road win at Swarthmore. Howie totaled 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in the win.
Johns Hopkins (15-2, 12-1) travels to Westminster, MD to take on McDaniel tomorrow night in search of a 12th consecutive victory.
