How it Happened
In the penultimate game of the 2021-22 regular season, Johns Hopkins hit the road, earning a 69-30 victory over Bryn Mawr on Wednesday night. 13 different Blue Jays scored in the contest as they improved to 20-3 overall.

The Blue Jays wasted very little time putting their stamp on the contest, taking a 19-3 lead after 10 minutes of action. Leading 2-1, the Blue Jays went on a 6-0 run to take an 8-1 lead just over three minutes into the contest. A bucket for the Owls made it 8-3 before the Jays ended the quarter on an 11-0 run. After an Erin Walsh free throw, Michaela O'Neil scored six straight to make it 15-3. Natalie Mann mixed in a bucket before O'Neil scored her eighth point of the quarter to make it 19-3.

O'Neil scored the first bucket of the second quarter, extending the run to 13-0 and putting her in double figures. The Owls ended the run, scoring to make it 23-6 before Aleah Spruell hit her first of four threes. Spruell hit a pair of them to push the Jays up by 23 with 4:21 left in the first half. Kristin Ralston scored the Jays final points of the first half to make it 31-8 before taking a 31-10 lead into the locker room.

The third period was the highest scoring period of the contest as the Jays put up 20, starting with a Halie Egan jumper. Layups from Mann and Walsh gave JHU a 37-13 lead with 5:39 remaining in the third. Bryn Mawr chipped it down to 21 before Sophie deBettencourt hit her first triple of the game. The lead swelled from 21 to 33 as Hopkins ripped off a 12-0 run with deBettencourt hitting another three with 1:26 remaining in the third to make it 51-18.

Mann knocked down a triple early in the fourth to put the Jays up by 30 after a mini run for the Owls. Bryn Mawr cut it down to 26, but Spruell and deBettencourt drilled back-to-back tripled and quickly pushed the lead back over 30. Abigail St. Onge's first bucket of the contest pushed the Blue Jay lead to 34 with 4:44 remaining. Spruell hit her fourth and final three to make it 67-30 with 2:23 to play.
