st place at the 2022 NCAA Championships and the Blue Jays placed 27
th in the team standings with seven points.

Mehta won seven of his 23 bouts through five rounds at the championships. In addition, five of his 16 losses came by just one touch. Mehta's finish in the best by a Blue Jay Sabrist at the NCAA Championships since Paul Cordts placed 10
th in 1980. Among all weapons, it is the best finish by a Blue Jay since 2007 when David Ferguson placed 13
th in the Foil.

Mehta finishes the season with 96 wins, tied for the sixth most in school single-season history in the Sabre. He now has 164 career wins, ranking him 19
th in program history in the Sabre.
