BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's basketball team broke open a close game early in the second half with a 25-1 run that turned a 39-34 lead into a 64-35 advantage and the Blue Jays went on to a 90-55 victory over visiting Washington College in Goldfarb Gym Wednesday night. The Blue Jays run their winning streak to 11 and improve to 21-3 overall and 15-2 in the Centennial Conference, while the Shoremen slip to 3-20 overall and 2-15 in the Centennial.

Â
The Blue Jays still led by 14 at 22-8 after a
Colin Crothers jumper with 12:27 on the first-half clock, but the Shoremen quickly sliced the deficit to eight as Grant Kemp and Marcus Scott, Jr. hit back-to-back three-pointers and Hopkins went scoreless for more than three minutes after Crothers' basket.
Â
As quickly as the lead was trimmed to eight it was back up to 17 (33-16) as a
Sidney Thybulle layup sparked an 11-2 spurt that was capped with another Thybulle bucket and included a three-pointer from
Brian Johansson and driving layups from James and Yeutter.
Â

Â
The Frink bucket to open the second half came less than a minute after play had resumed, but Windley's three-pointer followed and the Blue Jay lead was never threatened over the final 18 minutes.
