Box Score LEWISBURG, PA – Johns Hopkins wrapped up the Bucknell Invitational with a 21-8 loss to 17
th-ranked Fordham Saturday night.
The Rams took an early 2-0 lead before sophomore
Gavin Brooke got the Blue Jays on the board at the 4:51-mark. Barnabas Eppel answered just 16 seconds later to spark a four-goal run as Fordham pushed out to a 6-1 lead. Brooke halted the run with his second of the quarter, but Fordham scored twice in the final 29 seconds to take an 8-2 lead into the break.
Fordham picked up right where it left off, scoring twice in the opening minute of the quarter to push its lead to 10-2. Senior

Jason Mihalopoulos then sandwiched goals around a strike from Jagger McMannis and it was 11-4 with 1:53 to play in the quarter. Luca Silvestri then scored to give Fordham a 12-4 lead at the half.
The Rams outscored the Blue Jays 7-0 in the third quarter to push their lead to 19-4 after three. Brooke got his third of the night to open the fourth and the teams would trade goals over the remainder of the period.
Brooke led the Blue Jays with his first hat trick of the season. Housenbold was the only other multi-goal scorer for Hopkins.
JHU is back in action on Saturday, September 23 as the Blue Jays play their first home game since the 2021 season. Hopkins hosts Bucknell in MAWPC action at 7:00 pm.
