Nicholas Bates ended Hopkins' run with a five-meter goal at 5:17 in the second to make it a 7-3 game. Senior Ian Raley answered just 15 seconds later to kick-start a 3-1 spurt that saw the Blue Jays take a 10-4 lead into the half. Coming out of the break, Greyson Gaworecki scored a man-up just 59 seconds in to make it a five-goal game. Junior Daniel Palfi ended a nearly four-minute scoring drought for both teams with an even-strength goal at 3:37. The ignited a five-goal run in a span of just three minutes and 20 seconds as JHU led 15-5 after three.

Nic Ruggiero scored to open the fourth for the 'Roos, but the Blue Jays responded with three straight goals to go up 18-6 with 1:56 to play. Sebastian Scheier ended the Jays' run with his third of the game just 15 seconds later. But freshman Andrew Lee would get that one back in the final minute to give JHU the 19-7 win.
