LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins volleyball's Simone Adam has been named the Centennial Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, as released by the conference this morning. This is the second consecutive week Adam has earned the recognition, bringing her career total up to four following another strong trio of outings in an undefeated weekend for the Blue Jays.
 
Adam was the offensive catalyst in a Greg Giovanazzi Memorial Tournament in which Hopkins did not drop a single set, averaging a team-best 5.06 points and 4.88 kills per set while hitting .438. The junior was unstoppable in the Blue Jays' first match against 19^th-ranked Ithaca, registering 19 kills while hitting .395 in just three sets — her most kills in a three-set match since September of 2022.
 
Adam followed up that performance with another 12 kills in two sets in a sweep of Susquehanna before ending her weekend with an eight-kill outing — hitting at a .583 clip — adding two digs and a block in a three-set sweep of Marymount. The junior paced the Blue Jays in kills and finished with a higher hitting percentage than the team in all three contests, and currently leads the Centennial Conference in kills per set (3.59) while also ranking third in both points per set (3.74) and hitting percentage (.400).
 
Hopkins is back in action this weekend to take part in the NYU Invitational, where they will face off against the Violets, UC Santa Cruz and MIT beginning Friday, Sept. 20 and ending Saturday, Sept. 21.
