BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins football team has earned its first preseason ranking of the 2025 season as the Blue Jays are ranked third in
Lindy's preseason top 10. Lindy's listed a top 25 in previous years, but only a top 10 in advance of the upcoming 2025 season. This is the highest preseason national ranking by any organization in program history.

The Blue Jays, who were ranked third in the final AFCA and D3football.com Polls of the 2024 season, will open the 2025 season on Saturday, September 6 at Ithaca. Johns Hopkins then welcomes John Carroll to Homewood Field before a road trip to Susquehanna. John Carroll advanced to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Playoffs, while Susquehanna is ranked fourth in Lindy's preseason top 10 after a run to the NCAA Semifinals last season. The Blue Jays' three non-conference opponents combined to post a 27-9 (.750) record in 2024.

In addition to games against Ithaca, John Carroll and Susquehanna, the seven-game Centennial Conference schedule includes home games against 2024 NCAA participants Ursinus and Carnegie Mellon, which is making its CC debut this season. With back-to-back games against Carnegie Mellon and Ursinus capping the first six games on the schedule, the Blue Jays will play four of their first six games against teams that advanced to the NCAA Playoffs in 2024 and the combined record of Hopkins' first six opponents was 51-19 (.729) last season.

Johns Hopkins posted a 12-2 record and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals last season. The Blue Jays claimed their league-record 17
th Centennial Conference title and won three games in the NCAA Playoffs before falling to eventual national runner-up Mount Union, 45-37, in the NCAA Semifinals.
