LEHIGH, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team competed Friday morning at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University. Six Blue Jays competed in the women's open race before heat forced event organizers to cancel the remaining races.
Anne Hiraki led the Blue Jays, finishing 85th in a field of 431 runners with a time of 23:17.7.
Rachel Allison followed in 23:37.0 to place 110th, while
Kayla Ritzman finished just seven seconds later in 23:44.9 to take 114th.
Emily Roskowski crossed the finish line in 24:05.4, placing 141st, followed by
Maya Eisenberg in 24:20.4 to finish 167th.
Hanna Bruno rounded out the Blue Jays, recording a time of 25:28.6 to place 255th.
Johns Hopkins will return to action tomorrow, October 3, at the Running of the Cows DIII Pre-National Invitational, hosted by Carleton College. The Blue Jays whose races were canceled Friday will travel to Salisbury to compete in the Don Cathcart Invitational, hosted by Salisbury University.
