« Entering this week's game, the Blue Jays have won 49 of their last 53 games in the month of October dating back to 2010.
« The Blue Jays had been just 10-8 in their previous 18 games in the month of October before jump-starting the current 53-game run with a 49-24 win at Susquehanna (10-23-2010).

« Since 2005, the Blue Jays have twice played NCAA Playoff games in the Pittsburgh vicinity. They dropped a first-round game at Thiel later in that same 2005 season (about 85 miles north of CMU) and fell at Washington & Jefferson in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Playoffs (about 35 miles southwest of CMU).

Baker Enters Record Book
« Junior quarterback
Luke Baker was 37-of-52 for 218 yards and three touchdowns against one INT and rushed 12 times for 63 yards in the Blue Jays' game at Randolph-Macon.
« The 37 completions for Baker rank as the third-highest single-game total in program history. Only
David Tammaro, who had 42 completions at Washington & Lee in 2017, and
Hewitt Tomlin, who completed 39 passes at Gettysburg in 2011, have had more completions in a game than Baker's 37 at Randolph-Macon.
« Through four games, Baker is 91-of-150 (.607) for 1,028 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions; he also ranks second on the team in rushing with 158 yards and two touchdowns through four games.
« Through four games, Baker is tied for the lead in the Centennial Conference in touchdown passes and leads the league in passing yards per game (257.0) and total offense per game (296.5).
« Baker started 47 games as in infielder for the Johns Hopkins baseball team last spring. He hit .271 with 56 runs scored, 25 RBIs, five home runs and nine doubles and set a program single-season record with 45 walks.
Krauss With a Career-High at Dickinson
« Sophomore wide receiver
Jaeger Krauss enjoyed the finest game of his career last week at Dickinson as he had nine receptions for a career-high 157 yards against the Red Devils. The 100-yard game is the first of his career.
« On the year, Krauss has 19 receptions for 247 yards and two touchdowns. He ranks fifth in the CC in receptions and fourth in receiving yards through games of October 3. Krauss did not play in the season opener against Ithaca, but has accumulated all of his statistics in the last three outings.
A Three-Headed Monster
« Johns Hopkins has been without All-American wide receiver
Cole Crotty since early in the third quarter of the season-opening win against Ithaca. Crotty had five receptions for 101 yards and two touchdowns before leaving with an injury.
« The Blue Jays have leaned on their depth at wide receiver in Crotty's absence with senior
Robbie Enright and sophomores
Alex Orecchio and
Jaeger Krauss leading the way.
« Enright counts 18 receptions for 199 yards and three touchdowns to his credit, while Orecchio has 14 receptions for 222 yards and one score. Krauss counts team-highs of 19 receptions for 247 yards and two scores in three games played (DNP vs. Ithaca).
« Including the 17 receptions by freshman running back
Cooper Powell, Johns Hopkins enters this week's action as the only team in the Centennial Conference with four players with 14 or more receptions.
Scully Among Centennial Leaders
« Senior
Justin Scully rang up his second game of the young season with 14+ tackles as he totaled a career-best 15 stops against Susquehanna. He previously had 14 in the season-opening win against Ithaca and had five at Randolph-Macon.
« Through four games, Scully leads the team with 41 tackles, including one for a loss, and has one forced fumble and one pass breakup to his credit.
« The 41 tackles Scully has amassed in four games this season already surpass his career total entering the 2026 season and he now has 75 career tackles to his credit. His 41 tackles and 10.3 tackles per game both rank third in the Centennial entering this week's games.
Oh Yeah Olah
« Junior
Kevin Olah has recorded 19 tackles, a team-high five pass breakups and one interception through four games. He is tied for fourth on the team in tackles, leads the team in PBUs and is tied for the team-lead in INTs.
« His 46-yard interception return at Randolph-Macon set up the Blue Jays' second touchdown of the game. The 46-yard return is the longest by a Johns Hopkins player since
Carson Bourdo took one back 70 yards for a touchdown against Muhlenberg in 2024.
It's All Academic
« Since 2011, the Johns Hopkins football team has produced 49 CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-Americans. Only one other Division III program has produced even 30 during that time (Carnegie Mellon (32)) and only two others - MIT (24) and Rose-Hulman (23) - have even produced 20 during that time.
« Among all football-playing schools in the NCAA and NAIA, Johns Hopkins' 49 CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-Americans is also the most since 2011.
Starting QB Streak Now at 14
« Junior
Luke Baker got his first start at quarterback for the Blue Jays in the season opener against Ithaca and extended a remarkable run for Blue Jay quarterbacks that extends back 20 years.
« Starting with a 21-14 win at Randolph-Macon in
Shane Kibbe's first start at quarterback in 2006, and including Baker's win against Ithaca, 14 different Blue Jay starting quarterbacks have now won their first career start.
« Interestingly, the 10th of those 14 consecutive quarterbacks to win his first start at Johns Hopkins was
Zack Baker - Luke's older brother - who led the Blue Jays to a 41-10 win at Dickinson early in the 2017 season.
Road Warriors
« In their last 39 road games dating back to the start of the 2019 season, the Blue Jays are 30-9. Seven of the losses have come against teams ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game (#6 Muhlenberg-2019 | #22 Muhlenberg-2021 | #4 Mount Union-2021 | #18 Susquehanna-2022 | #3 Mount Union-2024 | #25 Franklin & Marshall-2025) and #4 Wisconsin-River Falls-2025).
