The Facts
«  This is the 141st season of Johns Hopkins football.  JHU first fielded a team in 1882.
«  Johns Hopkins enters this week's game with an all-time record of 623-499-57 (.553).
«  Overall, JHU owns 17 Centennial Conference titles (all 17 won since 2002) and has qualified for the NCAA Playoffs 14 times (all 14 since 2005).

November Reign
«  The Blue Jays are 24-3 in the month of November dating back to 2018, when JHU went 4-0 en route to the program's first appearance in the NCAA Semifinals.

Oktoberfest
«   Johns Hopkins closed the month of October with last week's 31-28 win against Muhlenberg.
«  Despite the 2-3 mark in October this season, the Blue Jays have won 51 of their last 57 games in the month of October dating back to 2010.
«  The Blue Jays had been just 10-8 in their previous 18 games in the month of October before jump-starting the current 57-game run with a 49-24 win at Susquehanna (10-23-2010).
« During their October run dating back to 2010, the Jays have lost just once at home.

Strength of Schedule
« Combined, JHU's three non-conference opponents are currently 20-4 (.833) on the year.
« The eight teams Johns Hopkins has played to-date (Ithaca, Randolph-Macon, Susquehanna, Dickinson, Carnegie Mellon, Ursinus, Gettysburg, Muhlenberg) are currently a combined 39-17 (.696).  Ranked by opponent winning percentage, Johns Hopkins has played the sixth most difficult schedule in the nation to-date.
« The combined record of the Blue Jays' 10 opponents this season is 47-25 (.653); that is tied for the second-highest overall opponent winning percentage in the nation.  By that metric, Johns Hopkins is the only team in the Centennial Conference with one of the 40 most difficult schedules in the nation.

It's Been a While
« Johns Hopkins became the first college football team to win a game on a fair catch free kick in 87 years when the Blue Jays topped Muhlenberg on Kaleb Wayt's 39-yard field goal with two seconds remaining in last week's game.
« The rule allowing such a play was outlawed in 1950 before being reinstated this season.  There had been one such attempt by Montclair State earlier this season (at the end of the first half), but the Red Hawks' attempt was no good.
« The last successful  game-winning fair catch free kick in college football - prior to last Saturday - came in 1939, when Marquette topped Michigan State, 17-14, on October 14 of that year.  To put that in perspective, Marquette dropped football at the end of the 1960 season, which means the last team to successfully win a game with this play - prior to last week - dropped the sport 66 years ago!

Olson Closing Strong
«  Senior Sawyer Olson is enjoying the finest season of his career and has had two strong showings in the back-to-back wins against Gettysburg and Muhlenberg.
« Olson totaled five tackles, including one sack, and recovered a fumble in the 40-14 victory over the Bullets and added five tackles, including a career-high two sacks, in the 31-28 win over Muhlenberg.
« In eight games this season, Olson now ranks third on the team in tackles (47), first in tackles for loss (7.5) and sacks (5.0) and has two fumble recoveries on the year.
« Olson enters this week's game with 74 career tackles, including 13.5 TFLs and 9.5 sacks, in his career.

Enright Reaches 100 Receptions
«  Senior Robby Enright had four receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns to help the Blue Jays to the 40-14 win against Gettysburg and added three catches for 36 yards against Muhlenberg.
« With his effort against the Mules, Enright bumped his season totals to 35 receptions for 392 yards and five touchdowns - all three totals lead the team through eight games.
« In addition, Enright pushed his career totals to 103 receptions for 1,407 yards and 16 touchdowns with last week's showing against the Mules.  He is the 23rd player in program history to reach 100 career receptions.
« With two games remaining in the regular season, Enright needs 93 receiving yards to become the 20th player in school history to reach 1,500 receiving yards.  With four more touchdown receptions, he'd become the 12th player with 20 or more career TD catches.
« Enright would become just the 12th player in program history with 100 receptions, 1,500 receiving yards and 20 touchdown receptions if he reaches those marks.

Olah Second in the CC in PBUs
«  Junior Kevin Olah has recorded 34 tackles, a team-high eight pass breakups and two interceptions through eight games.  He ranks fourth on the team in tackles, leads the team in PBUs and is tied for the team lead in INTs.
« Olah's eight pass breakups to-date rank second in the Centennial Conference and his 10 overall passes defended (INTs + PBUs) are tied for first.

Alley at 50+ ... Again
«  Chase Alley had a 56-yard punt last week against Muhlenberg.  That was his 15th career punt of 50+ yards.
« It was Alley's 56-yard punt in the final 30 seconds of the fourth quarter against the Mules that was downed at the two-yard line and eventually led to JHU's 31-28 victory on a fair catch free kick by Kaleb Wayt.
« Alley currently leads the Centennial Conference in punting this season at 42.1 yards/attempt.
« In his career, Alley is averaging 39.8 yards on 147 punts; among active Division III punters, he ranks seventh in career punting average.

Stup Continues Climb Up Tackle Charts
«  Sophomore LB Cole Stup continues to make an impact in the middle of the Blue Jay defense as he led the team with nine tackles at Ursinus, 11 against Gettysburg and added five stops in last week's win against Muhlenberg.
« Through eight games, he ranks second on the team in tackles with 59 and has 4.5 TFLs and one pass breakup to his credit.
« Stup currently ranks sixth in the Centennial Conference in tackles and tackles per game (7.4).
« Stup's 3.5 TFLs at Carnegie Mellon are the most by a Johns Hopkins player since Isaac Urquidi had 3.5 in a 27-13 win against John Carroll early in the 2025 season.

Scully Among Centennial Leaders
«  Senior Justin Scully was in on six tackles in the game at Ursinus on October 17, missed the game against Gettysburg and played a limited role in the win against Muhlenberg. He continues to sit atop the tackle chart for the Blue Jays despite missing the one game.
« Scully has 61 tackles, including 1.5 for losses and half a sack, along with two pass breakups to his credit this season.  He currently ranks fifth in the Centennial Conference in overall tackles and third in tackles per game (8.7).
« Scully has totaled 12 or more tackles three times this season with a career-best 15 against Susquehanna.  With his 59 tackles on the year thus far, he is now just seven tackles shy of 100 for his career.

Wods' 150th
« The game at Ursinus on October 17 was the 150th as a member of the Johns Hopkins football program for head coach Dan Wodicka.
« Wodicka played in 45 games as a player at JHU from 2010-13, was an assistant coach for 71 games (2014-15, 2019-23) and the game at Ursinus was his 34th as the Blue Jay head coach.  Including last week's win against Muhlenberg, JHU is now 127-25 (.836) in Wods' 152 games all-time games at Johns Hopkins.

Fourth Down Magic
« Johns Hopkins was 5-for-5 on fourth-down chances in the win against Gettysburg and is now 13-of-25 (.520) on the year on fourth down.
« The Blue Jays scored four of their five touchdowns in the win against the Bullets on fourth down as junior Luke Baker threw a touchdown pass to Robby Enright and Baker, Ty Pugliano and Milan Desai all had rushing touchdowns on fourth down.
« The showing against the Bullets is believed to be the first time in program history that Johns Hopkins has scored a touchdown on four, fourth-down plays in one game.
« Johns Hopkins' 13 successful fourth-down attempts this season are currently tied for the most in the Centennial Conference, while the 25 attempts are the most in the league.

Road Warriors
« In their last 41 road games dating back to the start of the 2019 season, the Blue Jays are 30-11.  Seven of the losses have come against teams ranked in the top 25 at the time of the game (#6 Muhlenberg-2019 | #22 Muhlenberg-2021 | #4 Mount Union-2021 | #18 Susquehanna-2022 | #3 Mount Union-2024 | #25 Franklin & Marshall-2025) and #4 Wisconsin-River Falls-2025).  The other losses have come this season at Randolph-Macon, Dickinson, Carnegie Mellon and Ursinus.
« Dating back to the start of the 2013 season, JHU is 58-16 on the road.
