Kendall Dunham was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday. The honor marks the first weekly conference award of Dunham's career and the third this season for the Blue Jays.
Dunham powered Hopkins to two road victories as the Blue Jays improved to 20-0 overall and 11-0 in Centennial Conference play. The win over Ursinus marked the program's 20
th consecutive victory, setting a Centennial Conference record for the longest winning streak. Over the two-game stretch, Dunham averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 2.5 assists per game.
In a 66-63 win at Gettysburg, Dunham logged all 40 minutes and finished with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists and a game-high five steals. She followed with a 20-point performance in a 12-point victory over Ursinus, adding four rebounds, four steals and one assist while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Dunham sealed the win by knocking down a pair of dagger three-pointers—Hopkins' only two triples of the game—in the fourth quarter as the Bears threatened to cut the lead to single digits.
Johns Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, February 11, when it hosts conference foe McDaniel inside Goldfarb Gymnasium for its annual Blackout Night. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
