Lacey Downey has nabbed her fourth Big Ten Midfielder of the Week honor after her performance in Johns Hopkins' 21-9 win at Oregon on Saturday.
Downey totaled eight points on two goals and six assists, to go with two ground balls and five draw controls versus the Ducks. She tied the program record for career assists by a midfielder (53) with her sixth of the afternoon. It is Downey's eighth game this season with five or more points and the six assists are a career best.
Downey leads Hopkins in assists (33) and ground balls (51). She ranks second in goals (36), points (69), caused turnovers (32) and draw controls (30). Downey leads the nation in free position goals (16) and ranks in the top 10 in points (7
th) and ground balls (8
th).
Hopkins returns to action on Sunday, April 12 as the Blue Jays host the third-ranked Michigan Wolverines. Opening draw is slated for 12:02 pm at Homewood Field.
