• Played in five games as a reserve faceoff specialist and member of the Blue Jay midfield. Saw action in each of the first three games of the season and five of the first six before an injury cut his season short.
• Was 2-for-2 on faceoffs on the year.

At Manhasset: Played lacrosse, football and basketball at Manhasset • Participated in the Under Armour Underclass All-America game as a junior • Helped lacrosse team to a pair of New York State Championships as a freshman and sophomore and county final (junior) and semifinal (senior) in last two years • Team compiled a record of 69-8 during his career • Earned all-county and academic all-county honors as a junior and senior • Two-way player in football and played forward on basketball team as a sophomore.

Matthews • The son of Greg and Amy Matthews • Father played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins from 1982-85 and helped JHU to the 1984 & 1985 NCAA Championships and four consecutive appearances in the national championship game • Father ranks fourth in school history in faceoff winning percentage (.608), fourth in faceoffs won (445) and fifth in faceoff attempts (732) • Uncle, Brian Matthews, played lacrosse at Yale and cousin, Matt Sutherland played at Cornell and Georgetown • Political Science major.
