First Day at Johns Hopkins: March 16, 2011

Adam Schlenoff enters his fifth season as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator and his 13th year as an assistant under Bob Babb.
 
As the associate head coach, Schlenoff will continue to work with the catchers and will now be the primary hitting coach and recruiting coordinator.
 
Numerous Blue Jay catchers have flourished under Schlenoff’s tutelage, most recently Alex Darwiche who was named to the Centennial Conference and D3baseball.com Mid-Atlantic and the ABCA Mid-Atlantic First Teams. Schlenoff also worked closely with Ryan Orgielewicz who was named a D3baseball second team All-American and first team All-Region player as well as an ABCA All-American and the Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year. Schlenoff also worked with Ryan Zakszeski (First Team All-Region, CoSIDA Academic All-American), Mitch Weaver (second team All-Centennial) and Joe Borrelli (first team All-South).
 
Schlenoff played collegiately at Mount St. Mary’s where he was the starting catcher for three seasons and ranks in the top-15 all-time in home runs. He was selected to the All-Northeast Conference team in his junior season.
 
He graduated from Mount St. Mary’s in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and communications and has coached at the high school and junior college levels. Schlenoff is starting ABC Baseball which will host baseball clinics throughout the region and has summer baseball teams playing in the Baltimore DC Collegiate League.
