First Day at Johns Hopkins: August 3, 2004

Gabriel Castellano begins his 19th season with the Johns Hopkins baseball team. Castellano serves as the team's first base coach and works primarily with the hitters and outfielders but will also assist in all aspects of the game.

Castellano played football and baseball at Levelland High School in Texas. He graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Texas Tech University and later received a master's degree in Sports and Leisure Management from Texas State University-San Marcos.

While attending Texas Tech, Castellano worked as an assistant baseball coach at Lubbock High School.
