In his second season as a member of the Blue Jay coaching staff is Joe Eldredge, who works with the Blue Jay running backs under the direction of offensive coordinator Alex Horvatits.

All Eldredge did in his first season at Homewood in 2025 was help guide the Blue Jays to a program-record-matching 12 wins (12-2) while making a run to the NCAA Semifinals for the second consecutive year.  The Blue Jays averaged 204.3 yards per game on the ground with 44 rushing touchdowns in 14 games.  The 44 rushing touchdowns rank third in program history, while the 204.3 yards per game on the ground rank ninth.

Under Eldredge's guidance, senior Geoff Schroeder enjoyed one of the most productive seasons in program history by a running back as he totaled 1,484 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground; his 21 TDs rank third on JHU's single-seaosn list while his 1,484 yards rank fourth.  Schroeder earned First Team D3football.com All-Region and First Team All-Centennial Conference honors.

Eldredge got his start in coaching as a senior at Western New England after his playing career was cut short by an injury.  As a senior, he served as s student assistant coach, working closely with the quarterbacks and running backs while assisting in all areas of practice and game planning.

Eldredge was a quarterback and three-year member of the football team at Western New England, where earned a degree in communication/media and journalism.
