Joining head coach Greg Chimera's coaching staff in 2022 is S.J. Brown.  Brown, who recently graduated from nearby Towson University, will coach the Blue Jay running backs.

Brown was a Second-Team All-CAA selection as a safety for the Tigers in 2021, when he also served as a team captain.  He paced the team with 76 tackles, including 47 solo stops, and added two interceptions in his final season at TU.  He recorded at least five tackles in nine of 11 games as a senior and concluded his two-season career at Towson with 163 tackles, five pass breakups and four interceptions to his credit.

Brown played his first two seasons of college football at Sierra College (CA).  There, rang up 119 tackles as a sophomore in 2018 and helped the team to a 7-4 record and a victory in the Grizzly Bowl.  The seven wins that season were the most for the Wolverines since 2008.

A native of Plumas Lake, California, Brown graduated from Towson with a degree in exercise science.
