TJ Weyl is in his first season as a member of the Blue Jay coaching staff.  He serves as the Blue Jay offensive line coach and run game coordinator and arrived at Homewood prior to spring practice in 2023.  He inherits an offensive line unit with three All-Centennial Conference performers returning.

Weyl arrived at Johns Hopkins from Rutgers, where he spent three seasons as the Offensive Quality Control Coach.  He worked closely with the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach on all facets of game planning, opponent analysis and recruiting.  In addition, he was responsible for providing weekly breakdowns of the opposition’s defensive structure and tendencies to Scarlet Knight head coach Greg Schiano. He was a member of the staff at Rutgers that helped the team to the 2021 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

Weyl had previously served for two seasons as a graduate assistant at Vanderbilt and one season each at Princeton and Monmouth (NJ) as an Offensive Quality Control Coach.  He helped guide Vanderbilt to the 2018 Texas Bowl.  In addition to his work with the offense at Princeton, he also worked closely with Tiger special teams units.

Weyl earned a master’s degree in liberal arts and sciences from Vanderbilt in 2020 and a bachelor’s degree in history from Cornell in 2012.  At Cornell, he was a member of the Big Red lacrosse team in 2009 and 2010.  Cornell fell in overtime in the 2009 national championship game and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals in 2010.
