Entering his first season as a member of Greg Chimera's coaching staff is Tommy McDonnell. McDonnell will coach the Blue Jay running backs this season.
The son of highly-successful New Hampshire football coach Sean McDonnell, McDonnell got his start in coaching at Cornell University, where he served as a quality control coach for the Big Red just prior to arriving at Johns Hopkins.
McDonnell was a four-year member of the men's basketball team at New Hampshire and served as a team captain as a senior in 2014-15, when he helped guide the Wildcats to a 19-13 record and an appearance in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. The 19 wins New Hampshire earned that year were the most for the program since 1994-95, when the 'Cats also won 19 games.
A native of Durham, New Hampshire, McDonnell graduated from UNH in 2016 with a degree in business and his MBA.
