Biography

Tom O[apos]Neill, a key member of the Johns Hopkins defense over the last four years, is in his first season as an assistant coach at his alma mater. O[apos]Neill will work primarily with the Blue Jay defensive ends and assist defensive coordinator Bob Chesney with the overall defensive plan.

O[apos]Neill was the only senior in the regular rotation on the Blue Jay defensive line last season and he counted 29 tackles, 4.5 tackles for losses and 2.5 sacks to his credit. He totaled 32 tackles in just five games as a junior before missing the second half of the season with an injury. Despite missing seven games over his final two years, his 61 tackles during the 2008 and 2009 seasons were tied for the most among all Blue Jay defensive linemen.
