Biography

2008: Played in all 17 games as JHU[apos]s top short-stick defensive middie and had two goals, two assists and 26 ground balls • 26 GBs ranked eighth on the team • Posted a career-high two points on one goal and one assist in the win over Princeton • Goal against the Tigers came during JHU[apos]s game-opening 8-0 run and later assisted on a Steven Boyle goal in transition just before halftime • Added a fourth-quarter goal against Navy that capped a 5-0 run that extended a 6-3 halftime lead to 11-3 • Assisted on a Michael Doneger goal early in the third quarter against Towson that fueled a run of three goals in 78 seconds • Grabbed four ground balls in the win over Loyola and added two against Hofstra in the first round of the NCAA Tournament • Keyed defensive effort in the 10-9 upset of top-seeded Duke in the NCAA Semifinals as he helped hold Duke[apos]s starting midfield to a combined total of two goals and one assist - that trio entered the semifinals with a combined total of 60 goals and 29 assists on the year.

2007: Played in all 17 games as JHU[apos]s top short-stick defensive middie • Tallied one goal and one assist and grabbed 23 ground balls on the year while fueling a defense that improved steadily as the season progressed • Unit allowed an average of just 7.22 goals goals per game during season-ending nine-game winning streak after allowing an average of 8.5 during the first eight games • Picked up the first assist of his career in JHU[apos]s 7-6 double-overtime victory against Princeton in the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Classic as he assisted on Steven Boyle[apos]s transition goal • Added the first goal of his career to fuel a 6-1 second-half run in a 14-6 win over Georgetown in the NCAA Quarterfinals • Helped hold Delaware[apos]s starting midfield to a combined total of one goal and one assist in the NCAA Semifinals.

2006: One of five freshmen to play in all 14 games • Started the first two games of the year on JHU[apos]s first midfield before making the move to short stick defensive middie when Matt Feild went down with an injury • Finished sixth on the team with 29 ground balls and won 4-of-8 (.500) faceoffs on the year • Fueled a Hopkins defense that held nine of 14 opponents to nine goals or less and six opponents to seven goals or less • Johns Hopkins finished 17th in the nation in scoring defense (8.21).

At William Floyd: Decorated two-sport athlete who lettered in football and lacrosse • Earned All-America, all-county and all-division honors in lacrosse and was named the Suffolk County Athlete-of-the-Year as a senior • Was also an all-county and All-Long Island pick in football and helped team to the Suffolk County Championship as a senior • Three-time lacrosse team captain and a two-time captain in football.
