Randolf Thurman is in his second season on the Blue Jay men's basketball staff in 2026-27. He came to Baltimore from Johnson & Wales (Providence), where he spent the last three seasons on the Wildcats’ staff.

In his first season at Johns Hopkins, Thurman helped the Blue Jays to a 20-8 record, the Centennial Conference title game and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. 

During his time in Providence, Thurman coached three All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference selections and two 1,000-point scorers. He is also the head coach of BNL Elite AAU in Providence.

Thurman is a 2019 graduate of Dean College with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and marketing.
