This Season: Co-captain Returns for fourth season as a starter and the leader on close defense Has started all 45 games in his career and can set (along with Kyle Harrison and Peter LeSueur) a school record for games started and consecutive starts if he starts 13 straight games.
2004: Second Team CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team CoSIDA District II Academic All-American Started all 15 games and led a Johns Hopkins defense that finished ninth in the nation in scoring defense (7.67 goals/game) and held 13 of 15 opponents to less than 10 goals Unit held six opponents to six goals or less, including four straight early in the season Led all close defensemen with 30 GBs.
2003: Started all 16 games on close defense Scooped up 23 ground balls on the year Anchored a defense that held 14 of 16 opponents to less than 10 goals and surrendered more than 10 goals just once Seven of final 10 opponents were held to six goals or less Team allowed just 25 goals in four NCAA Tournament games and finished third in the nation in scoring defense (6.94) and second in man-down defense (40-of-47 / .851).
2002: Started all 14 games on defense as a freshman Helped anchor a unit that allowed just 8.43 goals per game and did not allow more than 12 goals in any game Scooped up 27 ground balls on the year Became the first freshman to start the first game of the season on close defense at Johns Hopkins since 1998.
