2015
• Earned a selection to the Academic All-Big Ten Team.
• Appeared in a career-high 15 games as Hopkins' second long-stick middie.
• Took one shot, had six ground balls and two caused turnovers on the year.
2014
• Appeared in three games and had one caused turnover.
• Saw action in wins against Michigan, UMBC and Mount St. Mary's.
2013
• Saw action in five games in the Blue Jay midfield - all JHU victories. Had one ground ball on the year.
At Sycamore: Two-sport standout at Sycamore in lacrosse and football • Three-time All-Region selection with honorable mention status as a sophomore, second team honors as a junior and first team honors as a senior • Helped team to the city playoffs in each of his four years with one appearance in the championship game • Played outside linebacker for two years on the football team.
Personal: Derrick C. Kihembo • The son of Joe Rukanshagiza and Kate Bagorogoza • Father ran cross country at Siena and is a member of the Saints' Hall of Fame ... four-time All-American (two in track, two in cross country) and the 1975 NCAA College Division Champion in the 5,000-meter run • Economics major.
