2016-17: Made collegiate debut at Georgetown • finished third in 1650 Free versus Loyola • placed second in 500 Free in win over Mary Washington • took second in 500 Free in win over Franklin & Marshall • won the 1650 Free with an NCAA B time at the Gettysburg Invitational • finished third in 500 Free versus MIT • placed third in 200 and 500 Free in win at Stevens • won 800 Free Relay (6:59.60) and placed fourth in C Final of 500 Free and seventh in C Final of 200 Free at Carolina Nike Invite.
Personal: Ali Aly • son of Mohamed Aly and Dorothy Barton-Aly • swam 10 years with the Long Island Aquatic Club • qualified for NCSA Junior Nationals • majoring in molecular and cellular biology.
