Mike Fleg is in his first year at Johns Hopkins, and second year in collegiate coaching after spending the 2018-19 year at the University of Maryland. Fleg holds a USATF Level I certification.
Fleg graduated from the University of Maryland in 2006, where he ran four years of Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track and served as team captain. He holds a personal best of 3:49 in the 1500m run, which placed him in the top-10 all-time at Maryland. Fleg holds three degrees from the University of Maryland, including a Masters in Public Policy and a Masters in Education.
Fleg is a native of Clarksville, Maryland, and ran four years at River Hill High School where he was a 2-time individual Regional Champion and a 5-time team State Champion.
