Kayla Robbins enters her second year as an assistant coach at Johns Hopkins in the 2022-23 season. Robbins joined the program in March of 2021 and helped Katherine Bixby guide the team to an NCAA Tournament berth in 2021-22. The Blue Jays finished 22-5, ripping off a program record 15 consecutive victories. Robbins works closely with the Blue Jay post players. 

A 2020 graduate from the University of Michigan, Robbins was a four-year varsity letter winner, appearing in 119 games during her time as a Wolverine. She contributed 610 points and 364 rebounds over her Michigan career, becoming a full-time starter as a senior. The Mitchellville, MD-native was named a team captain in 2019-20 after spending her first three seasons as a key reserve. The Wolverines posted a record of 94-42 during Robbins' career.

A decorated prep player at St. John's College High School, Robbins will return to her home state. The two-time captain earned District of Columbia Athletic Association Basketball Player of the Year honors in 2016 and led her team to the DC City Championships where she was named MVP.
 
Robbins has always managed to make an impact both on and off-the-floor. She was a member of Women Uplifting Women, a group mentoring other female student-athletes to encourage them to be powerful women in their work field. Robbins also spent time as a Youth Camp Counselor and has volunteered in both the D.C. and Ann Arbor communities.
