- Uncles, Shaun Teevens (Dartmouth, '82), Scott Teevens (Maine, '84), Chris Teevens (Maine, '83), Kevin Teevens (New Hampshire, '86), and Tim Teevens (New Hampshire) all played college sports
- Took a gap year after high school to volunteer on organic farms in the US and abroad
