Biography
2014-15: Finished with 24-23 record • placed 27th out of 88, with five wins, at the Temple Open • placed 29th (out of 42) with three wins at the Garret Open • led Foil squad with seven wins at the Brandeis Invitational • won two bouts versus Boston College, MIT and Yale at Brandeis • led Foil squad with nine wins at Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational.
2013-14: Finished with a 16-8 record • went 5-4 at Philadelphia Invitational in collegiate debut • went 11-4 in helping team to EWFC Championship.
2012-13: Earned Second Team All-EWFC honors • finished with a record of 49-30 • ranked third on the Foil squad in wins • won all nine bouts in collegiate debut at Haverford Invitational • won seven bouts at the Brandeis Invitational and two at the Philadelphia Invitational • won 14 of 16 bouts in helping team to EWFC Championship • placed seventh at the EWFC Individual Championship with a 12-6 record • finished in 19th place with a 5-5 record at the NCAA Regional.
Personal: Ashley Lau • daughter of Diana Cheng and Andrew Lau • placed first at Junior Olympic qualifier and eight at Division II North American Cup in 2008 • took third place at the Pacific Coast Junior Women's Foil in 2009 • finished as runner-up at Summet Nationals qualifier in 2010 • placed 10th at Hong Kong Open in 2011 • volunteer at Lighthouse for the Blind and San Francisco General Hospital • tutor at Ingleside Community Center • took a mission trip to Tanzania and helped with the building of a secondary school • majoring in neuroscience.
