The Johns Hopkins women's track team lost one of its own on July 13, 2017, when rising sophomore Abigail (Abby) Bastien died at her apartment near campus.

At Johns Hopkins
•  Sprinter on the 2017 Centennial Conference Champion Indoor and Outdoor Women's Track Teams.
•  Member of the seventh-place 4x200-meter relay team at the 2017 Centennial Conference Indoor Track Championships.
•  Competed in nine meets during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

At Sandusky Central Catholic
•  Four-year member of the girl's track team.
•  Earned all-conference, all-district and all-region honors in each of her final three years and all-conference and all-district as a freshman.
•  Also a member of the girl's volleyball team.  Helped team to a sectional title while earning honorable mention all-conference honors.

Personal
Abigail Bastien • The daughter of Kelly Legando and Scott Bastien • Has two sisters (Kaylee and Ashlyn) and two brothers (Brady and Kaden) • Majoring in molecular and cellular biology.
