Hassaan Stamps

Hassaan Stamps was named the Associate Head Coach of the Blue Jays' track & field programs in August 2024.

Most recently, Stamps served for two years as the Director of the track and field and cross country programs at Warner University (FL).  There, he coached several All-Americans in both indoor and outdoor track with one top 25 team finish in women's track.  In addition, the teams produced a number of individual champions and medalists at the Sun Conference Championships.
 
Prior to his time at Warner, Stamps served as the Associate Head Track & Field and Cross Country Coach at East Tennessee State University from 2013-22.  While at ETSU, Stamps served as the program's recruiting coordinator and focused primarily on developing the Buccaneer sprinters, hurdlers and relay teams.  In nine years there, he coached three All-Americans, more than 30 Southern Conference Champions and more than 100 of his student-athletes earned podium finishes at the Southern Conference Indoor and Outdoor Track Championships.

In addition to his coaching experience at the collegiate level, Stamps also served as the head coach of the national team for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  His athletes there competed at both the World Championships and the Olympics and he directed the training programs for athletes competing at the sport's highest level.
 
Stamps graduated from the University of Tennessee with degrees in Psychology and sport administration.  As a student-athlete at Tennessee, Stamps was a two-time team captain where he helped lead the Volunteers to consecutive SEC Outdoor Championships as well as the 2001 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and 2002 NCAA Division I Indoor Track National Championships.  He earned All-America honors four times in his career and was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that finished as the national runner-up at the 2001 NCAA Outdoor Track Championships.
