December 19, 2016

Brandon Holley joined the Johns Hopkins Athletics staff in December 2016 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Events and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics in July 2022.

Holley serves as the sport administrator for Johns Hopkins’ men’s soccer, wrestling and men’s and women’s fencing programs, all of which have competed in NCAA Championship competition since his arrival.  He supervises three head coaches and assists in the supervision of all assistant coaches within those four programs, which count more than 90 student-athletes among them.  He also plays an active role with each team in budget development, fundraising, competition scheduling and rules education.

In his expanded role as an Associate AD, Holley assumed a much larger role in capital facilities projects in the Department of Athletics and Recreation and serves as the department liaison with campus partners as well as internal and external contractors throughout the planning, design and implementation of all major facilities initiatives.

Holley also coordinates all varsity athletic scheduling for Johns Hopkins’ 24-sport program, oversees the extensive facility rental plans for Homewood Field, Babb Field at Stromberg Stadium and the Newton White Athletic Center and additional indoor and outdoor spaces.

Holley plays a key role in the signature annual event at Homewood Field, the university-wide commencement in late May, while also managing operation of large, high-profile events such as the Premier Lacrosse League and the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game which routinely take place at Homewood.

Holley is the department's liaison with the university facility operations team and campus security while working closely with numerous other campus partners on collaborative events that include an athletics and/or recreation presence.   In addition, he manages game operations for select home Johns Hopkins athletic events, including all men’s lacrosse games.

Holley came to Hopkins from nearby Towson University, where he served as the Events Operation Manager in Event & Conference Services. In that role he managed the game day staffing of Athletic and campus events at SECU Arena and Unitas Stadium.

Holley spent three years as the Director of Operations for Facilities & Events at Georgia State University. He also interned at Atlanta Sports Council (2010-11) and the University of Alaska-Anchorage (2007) – working with the Great Alaska Shootout collegiate basketball tournament.

Holley is a 2008 graduate of Towson with a bachelor's in sport management. He later earned his master's in sport management & policy from the University of Georgia in 2010. He is an active member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association and the International Association of Venue Managers.

Holley and his wife Caitlyn live in Hampden with their sons, Owen and Reed.
