Cullen Doody

Cullen Doody joins Hopkins' staff following an incredibly successful career as a high school head coach. The 2022 USATFCCCA National Boys Coach of the Year, in just two seasons Doody turned Jesuit (New Orleans) into a perennial national power house, winning three straight state championships with team scores of 22, 15, and 27 points, with the perfect score in 2022 serving as the first in LHSAA 5A history. On the track, Doody's runners have achieved 20 top 3 finishes in the last 4 seasons, including state meet class records records in the 4x800 and 1600 and a composite record in the 3200. In 2024, Doody's Jesuit runners set school records in the 4x400 (3:19), 4x800 (7:58), 800 (1:53) ,1600 (4:06), and 3200 (8:47).

Doody was a 4 year letter winner for LSU from 2008-2012 and was the team's top runner in 2011, finishing 19th at the SEC Cross Country championships as well as 9th in the 2012 SEC Outdoor 5k. He was the winner of the prestigious SEC Brad Davis Community Service Leader of the Year Award and an NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship recipient.Â
