Kevin Sommer returns to Johns Hopkins as a volunteer hurdles coach after a successful career with the Blue Jays.
During his time at Hopkins, Sommer was named to the 2022 Indoor All-Region Team for the Distance Medley Relay, was an eight-time Centennial Conference Medalist and holds the program record in the 400-meter hurdles. The Califon, NJ native recorded the third-fastest indoor 500 time in as well as the sixth-fastest 110-meter hurdle time in program history, all while securing his spot on the 2021 and 2022 Academic All-District Teams.
Sommer graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2022 with his BS in environmental engineering.
