First Day at Johns Hopkins: July 14, 2025
Lauren Galaska joined the Johns Hopkins Department of Athletics in July 2025, and serves as the Assistant Director of Development, Events and Communications. In her role, she serves as the development liaison for Field Hockey and supports fundraising and alumni relations efforts across Hopkins Athletics.

Galaska oversees alumni and donor events for Hopkins Athletics, including the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, sport-specific alumni weekends, Homecoming events and department-wide programs. She also supports the Reynolds Society and other development efforts, including registration and giving components for athletics events.

In her communications role, Galaska manages Blue Jays Unlimited social media, develops newsletters for varsity programs, and coordinates regular email communications. She also supports the Blue Jays Unlimited digital presence and outreach.

Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Galaska earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and master’s degree in Business Management from Walsh University, where she was a women’s basketball student-athlete.
