Maura Knestout joined the Johns Hopkins community in August of 2017. She is responsible for Case Management for Student Athletes and a portion of the general student population in the Office of Student Outreach and Support, which provides resources for Homewood Undergraduate students dealing with physical and mental health concerns, personal and family emergencies, financial issues, and other obstacles that may arise during their college experience.Â

Prior to this role, Knestout was an Assistant Cross Country/Track Coach at Johns Hopkins where she coached her athletes toward holistic success, incorporating group sessions focused on topics such as body image, mental health, fueling, and goal setting to ensure success both on and off the track.Â

Knestout has a passion for supporting student athletes and college students towards their goals of personal, athletic, and academic success. She has her master’s degree in social work from Syracuse University, where she competed on the Cross Country and Track teams, as well as a certificate in Health & Wellness Coaching through Georgetown University.
