First Day at Johns Hopkins: July 5, 2023
Taylor Beam joined the Johns Hopkins Sports Medicine Staff in July 2023. He came to Homewood from NovaCare Rehabilitation. His primary coverage is with field hockey, men's basketball and men's tennis.
Beam spent two years with NovaCare, during which time he worked as an Outreach Athletic Trainer at CCBC Essex and CCBC Dundalk. At Essex, Beam worked with men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball, men's lacrosse and track & field. In addition, he created Essex's Emergency Action Plan (EAP). At Dundalk, he worked with men's basketball and baseball.Â
Beam spent nine months as a Clinical Assistant at Orthopedic Associates in 2021. Prior to that, he worked as an Outreach Athletic Trainer at ATI Physical Theraphy for a year and a half.
Beam earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science & physical education from McDaniel in 2015. He later earned a master's degree in athletic training from Seton Hall in 2019. While pursuing his masters, he worked with the men's and women's soccer, volleyball, swimming & diving, cross country and men's and women's basketball teams at Seton Hall. He also worked with teams at Roxbury High School, Union HIgh School and Drew University.
Beam lives in Harford County with his wife, Angie, and daughter, Parker.
