Baltimore, MD - Taneil Sisco scored two goals in the second half to lead the Washington College field hockey team to a 2-1 comeback win over Johns Hopkins Tuesday night at Homewood Field.
The Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead into the half on a goal by Ashley Robbins (Newtown Square, PA/Westtown School), but Sisco tied the game when she scored off a pass from Jessica McAdams with just over 20 minutes remaining in the game.
The Shorewomen took the lead with 8:59 remaining when Sisco took a feed from Julie Phillips and beat Hopkins goalkeeper Missi Schafhauser (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) for the game-winner. Schafhauser made three saves in goal for the Blue Jays.
Hopkins scored first when Robbins one-timed a pass by Ashlee Duncan (Easton, MD/Easton) past Washington goalie Christie Allebach with just 40 seconds left in the first half.
The Blue Jays had a chance to tie the game late, but Allebach saved a shot by Camille Fesche (Lutherville, MD/Dulaney) to preserve the lead.
Hopkins will return to action Thursday when the Blue Jays travel to the College of Notre Dame for a 4:30 p.m. start.
