Eng made three of her seven saves before intermission as the Bears held a slim 6-5 advantage in shots.
Nursing the 1-0 lead the Bears kept the pressure on in the second half as they outshot the Blue Jays 5-0 and held an 8-1 advantage in penalty corners after interission. For the game, UC held a n 11-5 advantage in shots and a 14-4 margin in corners. Jess Lamina was forced to make just one first-half save to pick up the shutout. Eng finished with seven saves.
With the win the Bears clinch the Centennial Conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The Blue Jays will learn later Sunday night if they receive an at-large bid to the tournament.
