BALTIMORE, MD - Top-ranked Salisbury scored a pair of goals early and went on to beat host Johns Hopkins, 4-0, Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference field hockey contest. The Blue Jays slip to 1-3 on the season, while the Sea Gulls remain unbeaten at 5-0.

Salisbury took an early 2-0 lead, scoring two goals in a span of less than two minutes. Following a Hopkins foul, Hancock had a free hit near the top of the circle and she fired a hard, low shot just inside the right post.

Courtney Webster closed out the scoring in the first half, with her first goal of the season at 20:19. Rebecca Hasz centered a pass from the right-end line to Webster, who banged it home for the score. Katy Lamboni would score the lone goal of the second half, tipping in a long shot from Tara McGovern.

For the Blue Jays, junior goalie Kim Stein (New Hyde Park, NY/New Hyde Park Memorial) made a career-high 14 saves in the loss.
