BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins and visiting Gettysburg battled through 110 minutes of scoreless soccer to finish in a 0-0 draw Thursday afternoon in Centennial Conference men's soccer action. The Blue Jays are now 3-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference, while the Bullets are also 3-4-1 and 0-2-1 in the CC.

Both teams had chances throughout the 110 minutes with Gettysburg taking 13 shots, including four in overtime. Hopkins meanwhile, had 12 shots and eight corners to just three for the visitors. Will Gately had a great chance for the Bullets in the 60th minute when he stepped up and ripped a shot from about 20 yards out, but it missed the mark wide. Freshman Josh Hong had a beautiful look at goal in the 72nd minute, as he cut back to his right and cranked a shot that just whistled over the far corner of the goal. Sophomore Kotaro Mitsuhashi also just missed on a great shot from the top of the box that just skimmed over the crossbar in the 87th minute.

In the end, neither team could find the go ahead goal and for the second straight meeting between the two longtime rivals, the game ended without a winner. Sophomore Nick Cerrone finished with five saves to earn his fourth shutout of the season. His counterpart, Connor Darrell, made a pair of saves for the Bullets.

Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, September 29 as Franklin & Marshall visits Homewood Field. The Centennial Conference match-up is slated for a 7:00 pm start.
