• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins field hockey team struck first, but host Haverford would come back with three goals to defeat the Blue Jays, 3-1, Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
• Junior Bridget Hampton put the Blue Jays on top early, scoring her third goal of the season at the 13:44-mark, after a battle in front of the cage.
• The lead didn't last long however as Sarah Waldis scored on a breakaway just 2:05 later to tie the game. Less than five minutes later, Haverford held a 2-1 lead on a Nicole Witte goal.
• Brenna Boehman added an insurance goal for the Fords just five minutes into the second half.

What it Means
• Johns Hopkins is now 28-8-1 all-time against Haverford and the Fords have won four straight at home in the series.
• The Blue Jays are now tied for seventh in the Centennial Conference standings with four games left in the regular season.

• Sophomore Greta Helvie made six saves in the loss for the Blue Jays while Lindsey Lopes finished with eight. Lopes also got two defensive saves from her teammates to help preserve the lead.
• Haverford outshot Johns Hopkins, 24-18, while the Blue Jays had the advantage in corners (11-7).
