? The Short Story: The second-ranked Johns Hopkins water polo team came from behind to beat eighth-ranked La Verne, 9-8, on Friday afternoon. The Blue Jays scored the final two goals of the game to complete the comeback and earn their 10th win of the season.
How it Happened
? The Blue Jays and Leopards were tied at one at the end of one quarter with goals from senior co-captain Kevin Yee and Bryan Jimenez.
? La Verne took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring Hopkins 4-1 in the period to go up 5-2 at the half. Viken Huening and Joshua Vega combined for all four Leopard goals. Freshman Andreas Katsis scored the Jays' goal.
? Hopkins turned the tables in the third; with a 4-1 advantage in the period make it a tie game at 6-6 after three quarters.
