The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins field hockey team's offense exploded in a 10-0 win over host Bryn Mawr Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays snap a four-game losing streak as they improve to 6-9 on the season. Junior Shannon Cosgrove led the Blue Jays with a career-best six points.

How it Happened
• Johns Hopkins jumped on Bryn Mawr early, as sophomore Morgan Pothast scored just 4:13 in with a helper from junior Shannon Cosgrove. Just over 10 minutes later, junior Bridget Hampton doubled the Blue Jays' lead.
• The offense picked up as the game reached the 20-minute mark. Hopkins put home four goals in a 13-minute span to push out to a 6-0 lead at the half. Pothast picked up her second goal of the day during the spurt.
• Cosgrove scored the first two goals of the second half, both coming on a penalty stroke, to stake Hopkins to an 8-0 lead.
• Sophomore Princess Sutherland scored just 48 seconds after the Jays' second stroke. Senior Elena Gresick closed out the scoring at 68:48 as the Blue Jays capitalized on a penalty corner.

What it Means
• Johns Hopkins is now 22-0-1 all-time against Bryn Mawr.
• Despite the win, Hopkins is now eliminated from Centennial Conference playoff contention as Dickinson and Haverford are tied for fourth with six wins apiece.

• Hopkins 10 goals is the most the Blue Jays have scored since a 10-0 win over Bryn Mawr on October 20, 2012.
• Junior Shannon Cosgrove scored twice and handed out two assists, for a career-best six points.
• Sophomore Morgan Pothast scored a pair of goals and now leads the team with a career-high eight goals. She also had an assist in the win.
• Sophomore Elena Gresick was not forced to make a save in earning her third shutout of the season.
• Hopkins outshot Bryn Mawr, 40-0, and had more corners (23-0).
