BRONX, NY- The #20 Johns Hopkins men's cross country team finished in sixth place at the Iona Meet of Champions, Saturday at Van Courtlandt Park in New York City.

Fourth-ranked Wisconsin won the event, finishing with 25 points and five of the top seven runners. Behind Wisconsin was #17 Arkansas (51 points), which claimed the top two finishers; Frankline Tonui and Christian Heysfield. The Blue Jays finished the 10-team event with 179 points.

Hopkins was led by Ryan Schwartz, who finished the 8,000-meter race in 25^th place (27:08). Patrick Thorton finished ten seconds later and 27^th overall out of 115 runners.

The Blue Jays will be back in action in two weeks at the Paul Short Invitation, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
