The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's basketball team outscored Dickinson in three of four quarters to knock off the No. 1 team in the Centennial Conference with a dominant 68-48 victory in Carlisle, PA.

How it Happened
• The Blue Jays jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the first 3:36, behind three-pointers by Caroline Corcoran, Madison McGrath and Lexie Scholtz. Hopkins extended its lead to 18-7 with 3:42 remaining in the first quarter off layups by Lillian Scott and Maggie Spitzer before the Red Devils countered with a run of their own. Dickinson outscored Hopkins 9-4 in the final 2:36 for the 22-16 score after the first quarter.
• Hopkins shut down Dickinson in the second quarter, allowing only eight points. The Red Devils shot 4-of-17 in the quarter and failed to make a three-pointer or a free throw. Scott sunk a pair of free throws to open up the scoring in the period. A 6-0 run by Dickinson shrunk JHU's lead to 24-22 with 4:21 remaining, but Scholtz quickly swung the momentum in favor of the Blue Jays with her second three-pointer in the game. Hopkins scored the final four points of the first half for the 34-24 lead at the break.
• The teams played an even third quarter for the Blue Jays to maintain their 10-point lead heading into the final frame. Scott scored a layup to begin the quarter, but the Red Devils responded with a layup in the first 30 seconds of their own. The game continued in a back-and-forth fashion before Dickinson cut the Blue Jays' lead to 40-35 with 5:27 to play in the quarter. Hopkins closed the quarter on an 8-3 run for the 48-38 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
• Scott knocked down 7-of-8 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to seal the 68-48 victory for Johns Hopkins. Scott kicked off the scoring for the third consecutive period as she sparked a 7-0 Hopkins run in the first 5:19 of the fourth quarter, sealed by a three-pointer by Elle Hepburn. Despite a pair of made layups and subsequent free throws by Dickinson's Lauren McBride, the deficit was too large for the Red Devils to overcome. The Blue Jays recorded 11 made free throws in the fourth quarter, including five in the final minute, to secure the victory.
