? The Short Story: The #24 Johns Hopkins volleyball team won its tenth straight match and first ever as a ranked team, as the Blue Jays defeated Washington College on the road, 3-1.
How it Happened
? JHU got out to a quick 6-1 lead to begin the first set, however the Shorewomen would get to within four points at 9-6.
? Four straight points from the Blue Jays would bring their lead to 13-6 but once again Washington College would chip away at the deficit and get to within two points at 23-21.
? Hopkins would take advantage of two attack errors and claim the first set 25-21.
? It was the Shorewomen who got out to a fast start in set two, taking an early 6-1 advantage.
? Johns Hopkins would comeback, eventually getting to within one at 17-16.
? A kill from Louisa Kishton tied the set at 21, but the home team scored four of the next five points to take the set 25-22 and tie the match at one game apiece.
? The third set was highly contested with neither team able to build a big lead in the early stages.
? JHU was able to finally rattle off four straight points and pull ahead 18-13 and would win the set 25-15.
? In the fourth set, the Blue Jays held a 18-17 advantage when Washington College went on a 4-0 run to take a 21-18 lead.
? Hopkins would rally and finish the match on a 7-2 run as Simone Bliss clinched the set and match with a kill.

? JHU has won its last ten matches, which is the longest winning streak since 2012 when the team set the record for most consecutive victories with 16.
? The Blue Jays improve to 34-7 against Washington College and have won 28 straight meetings.
